Fire Dogs Facts

DID YOU KNOW

Fire Dogs were firstly used to support burning logs - swans nest were introduced later for burning smaller logs and coal. They date back to the 16th century.

Our ancestors used to have fires in the middle of a room after which fires were lite against a wall which created the need for fire backs to protect the wall and the reflect heat back.

Mulling Dogs were designed to heat a drink or mulled wine.

Scroll Dogs were originally used to support a skewer for spit roasting.
